About
There’s nothing quite like that moment when a client, after doing all the hard work, finally finds their someone special.
My clients are intelligent people. They’re used to be being able to figure stuff out on their own. But they just haven’t quite been able to figure out this whole dating thing. And that’s where I come in. My approach is both science-based and intuitive, and I tailor my coaching to meet your specific needs.
I help people who’ve been away from dating for a while build the skills and confidence to get back out there and date without fear. I also help people who are already dating, but feel like they’ve been spinning their wheels, develop mindsets and strategies that will make dating fun again.
I’ve been developing my skills as a dating coach for over a decade. I have a degree in biology, and I’ve studied just about every facet of human behavior, from genetics and neuroscience to psychology and culture. I’m a graduate of the Coaching for Life and Work program at the University of California, Davis, and a member in good standing of the International Coaching Federation.
When you coach with me you’ll find that I’m calm, kind, and rational, but I also like to have fun. Because let’s be honest – dating can be frustrating and overwhelming. I’ll be there to hold your hand when you need it, but I’ll also help you keep your sense of humor and reconnect with the joy that dating can bring.
What is coaching? How does it work?
Coaching is goal-focused.
Coaching isn’t therapy (although it can be a great complement). While therapy focuses more on healing your past in order to cope with the present, coaching focuses on the future and achieving your goals. The past may still come up, of course, especially as we work on breaking old patterns, but we will stay focused on where you want to be and how to get there.
Coaching is individualized.
Coaching is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s different from what you’d get from a book or watching a video. Each of us is a unique individual, with our own challenges, especially when it comes to something as complicated as relationships. Rather than telling you what to do, I ask thought provoking questions that guide you to chart your own path.
Coaching is challenging.
Sometimes coaching might feel like a fun gab session with a friend. Other times, the work can feel quite difficult – even scary. But if you’re committed to doing what it takes to get un-stuck and achieve your relationship goals, the rewards will be well worth the challenge.
